A Whole Slew of Sleestaks

Hey guys, look behind you! This Land of the Lost image has been floating around a few days, but we wanted to share anyway. Danny McBride (Tropic Thunder, Pineapple Express), the ubiquitous Will Ferrell (this week it’s Step Brothers) and Pushing Daisies’ Anna Friel are obviously looking in the wrong direction, as an army of rubbery sleestaks descends like they’re in some twisted Busby Berkeley musical.

Not time for them to worry yet. If the film is true to the series, Sleestaks only move at .3 mph. Ferrel’s crew has a few more minutes until they need to make their escape by walking briskly in the other direction.

And they’ll *eventually* figure out that all that hissing is not from a series of leaky steam pipes.

And if Brad Silberling makes the right moves as director, that’s exactly what this movie should feel like. Remember how lame the TV show adaptations were in the early 90s? Today’s versions should be skewering both the shows and those crappier movies.
