THIS CONTEST HAS NOW ENDED. Feel free to check back for more contests in the weeks to come — just click “Contests” on the left category list.
Here’s a Lobby first: Free Blu-ray discs for one lucky reader. Maybe you just got a Blu-ray disc player for the holidays… start building your library on us.
We have the original Pirates of the Caribbean and Michael Bay’s odd history-as-pop-culture epic Pearl Harbor. And since the discs are Blu-ray, you’ve got 1080p, pristine surround sound and gobs of extras.
In fact, the Pirates disc promises 13 hours of supplemental material.
HOW TO WIN: Just add a comment to this post and tell us you want the discs. We’ll choose one comment at random to determine the winner. Contest ends Saturday, December 29 at 5pm ET.
Before we wrap this up… as you know, there’s an ongoing battle between Blu-ray and HD DVD. And to the average moe, there doesn’t seem to be that much difference between the two (if you feel like arguing, we’ll set up a separate post).
Either way, the Blu-ray camp’s been spending money slagging all other “old” technologies.
We gotta say it: The prizewinner must have a U.S. or Canadian mailing address, and a valid email address. We’re not responsible for lost or late entries. We’re not responsible for late, lost or damaged prizes. We only use your email address to contact you at the end of the contest, and will only use your mailing address to ship your prize if you win. We never share emails or mailing addresses with anyone.
