ORIGINAL POST: After a trio of British-based (and British-funded) films, Woody Allen stayed in Europe to make Vicky Cristina Barcelona, his most acclaimed relationship comedy in an awfully long while, maybe since his 1996 musical Everyone Says I Love You. Last week, Vicky Cristina Barcelona won the Golden Globe for Best Picture (Comedy/Musical), and Penelope Cruz scored an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress – to complement her slew of critics groups’ accolades. To celebrate today’s release of the DVD, you can win a copy of Vicky Cristina Barcelona right here at Meet In the Lobby.
