Horror Preview: MIDNIGHT MOVIE
We love rooting for small indie films, so when we learned Midnight Movie is rolling out, we couldn’t resist — especially considering our Halloween mood. The killer thriller boasts a pair of big wins from last month’s Chicago Horror Film Festival: Best Cinematography and Best Picture. Here’s the creepy-as-hell poster, first used for the January ‘09 DVD release, now for some theatrical buzz… see below for more.

How’s this for a horror genre bender: A bunch of teens catch a 70s cult film at the midnight movie… only to find themselves locked in the decrepit theater, victims of the very killer they see on the screen. Did we tell you the film’s director may have escaped the loony bin?! (No, not the real director… that’s a guy named Jack Messitt.)
