LAND OF THE LOST Super Bowl Ad

I was a kid in the 1970s. So even just the phrase “Land of the Lost” is sacred. Still, we’ve enjoyed digging out details (poor paleontology joke) about the Will Ferrell-starring film version, holding out hope for something campy, corny, funny, even a bit nostalgic. So far, it seems director Brad Silberling is headed that way. Now, we’ve got the first teaser trailer, tailor-made by NBC/Universal, for NBC/Universal’s Super Bowl telecast.
We’d love if the dinosaurs looked cheaper, but any script that includes “Matt Lauer can eat it!” is good enough for us.

I’m disappointed that it’s going to be a comedy. I’d much prefer to see a mature take on the Land of the Lost concept. I love the old TV show for it’s sci-fi underpinnings and melodrama, not the goofiness that occasionally crept in.
If you’re interested in Land of the Lost, you might want to visit my fan site with coverage of both versions of the TV series and the latest news on the upcoming movie.

I’m with you Enik, but I am also excited to see the show get some well deserved attention. The Sleestacks look awesome!
I will be taking my kids to see this one.
