Movie Poster Monday: GREENBERG

What’s the best way to counter the commercialism of two Night at the Museum movies and a whole bunch of Madagascar material? Star in a Noah Baumbach movie. That’ll reset your indie cred faster than you can say The Squid and The Whale. We’re happy to welcome Ben Stiller back into the fold of smart films, as should be the case with his starring role in Baumbach’s upcoming Greenberg. Which is the star of our Movie Poster Monday.

Noah Baumbach is one of the most creative brains in movies today. He wrote and directed the eclectic Margot at the Wedding (a demanding film for Nicole Kidman), and has written twice for Wes Anderson, the first time for the underrated The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, and most recently for Fantastic Mr. Fox.
You want even more indie flavor for Greenberg? How about low-budget goddess Greta Gerwig (great ‘mumblecore’ films Hannah Takes the Stairs and Nights and Weekends) as the focus of Stiller’s character’s attention?
Release Date: March 12, 2010
