Movie Poster Monday: MAN ON WIRE

We don’t ordinarily highlight movie posters for films already released (now in NYC), but this has to be one of the most arresting images I’ve ever seen to promote a movie. Never mind the fact that this is a documentary. (click on the poster for the biggie)

And the tagline is as simple and enticing as the image.

If you’re not familiar with Man on Wire, here’s the short summary: French guy pulls a tightrope stunt between the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers in New York City. Want another visual? How’s this?

Man on Wire is currently one of the most acclaimed movies of the year, with a perfect 100 on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 37 reviews. (Average rating: 8.2). That’s the third 100 score of the year on RT, but Alex Gibney’s Taxi to the Dark Side is even more impressive, garnering a 100 score with 71 reviews.
