Movie Poster Monday: RIGHTEOUS KILL
How should you market your film when your stars are Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, arguably the two most legendary actors of the last half-century? Are you kidding?! You put their big famous mugs front and center, like this latest movie poster for the cop drama Righteous Kill. (see our Righteous Kill preview, with trailer)

Yeah, of course they’ve shared a poster before (see left, with Val Kilmer!) And if The Godfather Part II was made post-1978, they probably would’ve appeared together on that movie poster too.
But does this one feel a little outdated? If Righteous Kill’s content is less than stellar, we’d hope the two stars generate enough chops and intensity to hold our interest. De Niro still retains a remarkable reputation – even with his Travis Bickle days far behind him — but Pacino was recently lambasted for his performance in 88 Minutes, a movie soft-serve enough to be called 31 Flavors. (Not to be confused with De Niro’s 15 Minutes or even Bruce Willis’ 16 Blocks. Heh.)
Everybody talk about Righteous Kill
