NEW MOVIE PREVIEW, CLIPS: In Bruges
If you’ve seen Juno, you’ve probably seen the trailer for In Bruges, the Opening Night selection for the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson star in this action comedy as two hitmen forced to chill out in Bruges, the Belgian tourist town that can only be described as old school — really old school. The longer these tough guys hang around this quaint medieval locale, the weirder things get.
LOBBY FACTS
Okay first, it’s pronounced “brooge”(like “rouge,” as Focus Features reminds us). Second, In Bruges is from an Academy Award-winning filmmaker: Writer-director Martin McDonagh won a 2006 Oscar for his short Six Shooter (which also starred Gleeson). Third, the movie’s tagline is a good indication of the film’s sense of humor: Shoot first. Sightsee later.
Here are quick links to recently released clips from Focus:
1. A clip called “Hideout” (oh yeah, you’ll see Ralph Fiennes in this one)
2. One with an Elle Magazine review and a little person
