New Trailer: TOY STORY and TOY STORY 2 in 3D

Just about one week after Disney conducted a panel on 3D films at Comic-Con 2009, the Mouse House today released an ingenious trailer for their 3D double-feature release of Pixar’s Toy Story and Toy Story 2. This animation celebration opens in the US and UK on October 2, 2009, rolling out throughout the world through 2010.

As usual, Pixar doesn’t go for your typical chop-‘em-up movie trailer. It’s time for some original Toy Story material.

The Toy Story films, released in 1995 and 1999, established Pixar as the premier storytellers in Hollywood with movies that charmed and appealed across the audiences. In my opinion, Toy Story 2 is one of the greatest films ever made about parenthood (remember the musical number about Jessie the cowgirl’s owner? Even Tom Hanks and Tim Allen admit to crying while watching that one.)

As a reminder, we’ll see Toy Story 3 on June 18, 2010.

(thanks to Movieweb for the heads up)
