RELIGULOUS: Red Band Trailer, Bill Maher on NPR

Here’s some more Religulous stuff to enjoy before the anticipated October 3 release.

First, the funniest Religulous trailer I’ve seen. Think of it as a ”red band” trailer… even though we’re only talking about an appropriately funny f-bomb at the tail end.  

It begins with Bill Maher saying: “That’s really The Vatican. I oughta know, I just got thrown out of it.”

Second, Bill Maher and director Larry Charles (Borat) appeared on NPR’s Fresh Air this week. One insightful nugget from the interview: Maher acknowledged the beauty and revolutionary thinking in the story of Jesus Christ — he just thinks it gets all mucked up in the “magic” and “nonsense” of the Bible. What kind of enormous heat are these guys gonna feel from the religious right? One can only imagine. Judge Maher and Charles’ comments for yourself:
