SOPRANOS’ David Chase To Develop New HBO Series

Some quick news… The Sopranos’ creator David Chase has agreed to develop a new HBO miniseries about the origins of popular cinema. A Ribbon of Dreams will follow the lives of two main characters who begin work with legendary director D.W. Griffith, and whose careers evolve as Hollywood evolves.
Amazing that the videogame industry has tackled this theme before, but no film really has. At least none that I can recall. More details later, just wanted to forward this as soon we got the news.

This is the best news I’ve heard all day. Chase’s Soprano’s writing was unique for all that it left unresolved. And we all know that most of the intrigue and dealmaking in Hollywood leads to… nothing.

@SG
I just love that the guy will develop something from another time period. And the scope sounds large, as was The Sopranos in many ways.
I’m sure there was a lot of intimidation and tough talk in old Hollywood, so Chase’s writing should feel right at home.
