There’s only one thing movie fans love more than watching great films — debating about them. And one of the longer-running arguments has to do with the longest-running movie series: Which actor is the best James Bond? Well, today Fox and MGM announced a new Blu-ray disc set that will put all elements of that debate in one honking box set. The collection, entitled Bond 50, a reference to the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Bond film series, offers all 22 James Bond movies from Dr. No in 1962 (Sean Connery fans say hurrah) to 2008′s Quantum of Solace (cheers from Daniel Craig devotees). The big announcement came at the Consumer Electronics Show, with Bond directors John Glen, Martin Campbell and Michael Apted on hand.

Two items in the press release caught our attention: The first is that the set includes over 130 hours of additional of bonus features. I’m sorry, what?! Go ahead, watch four hours of extras a week. We’ll check back in with you in about eight months. The second is the mention of all six Bond actors being “iconic”. Including George Lazenby?
Interested in the Bond 50 set? The list price is $299.99, and Amazon is currently accepting pre-orders at $100 off. (still available as of 02.05.12)
