I spent early Monday morning on 92.9 Dave FM in Atlanta, talking lots of Dark Knight with Zakk Tyler and his cool sidekick Jane. It was a great time, and a good opportunity to pay homage to Heath Ledger’s career, not just his standout role in The Dark Knight.
And some more (unavoidable) Dark Knight stuff for your consideration:
:: Some friends had an early work day yesterday, and planned to see The Dark Knight at a 4pm IMAX showing. By noon, advanced tickets were sold out. Sold out on a Tuesday. Afternoon. During the work week.
:: Could Christian Bale have timed his troubles any worse? I mean, better? This guy is far too talented — and overlooked in The Dark Knight, by the way — to become gossip page fodder. From American Psycho to Rescue Dawn, this guy is a true screen thespian. Hope he didn’t screw up too too much on this one.
:: According to Variety, The Dark Knight grossed over $24 million at the box office on Monday alone. That puts the grand domestic total at about $183 million. And don’t forget the $40 million the film pulled in 20 international markets last weekend…

about christian bale, i was extremely relieved when the news broke that he was taken into custody for “verbal assault”, meaning he yelled at his mom. and he was yelling at her because she insulted his wife. so i wouldn’t worry about him too much.
