The Making of FROZEN Behind-the-Scenes Teaser

After standing in the creative shadow of partner Pixar for nearly two decades, it looks like Disney Animation finally has their Lion King for the next era: Frozen. Admired by critics, enjoyed by families, and absolutely adored by every American girl under the age of 13 (with one being in our house), Frozen looks to be the favorite to win the Best Animated Feature Oscar this week, and should also nab the Best Song entry as well for Idina Menzel singing “Let It Go” (as prevalent in those young kids’ homes as “What Does the Fox Say?”). If Frozen does win the big prize, it will be the first time in eight nominations that Disney Animation Studios takes the award — in a year where Pixar doesn’t even have a horse in the race.

As Disney rides the enormous Frozen tide into what may be record-breaking Blu-ray / DVD sales — the theatrical release has now grossed $980 million worldwide — our friends at the Mouse House have just released this goofy teaser for an upcoming behind-the-scenes short. The stars are Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff, better known to you as Olaf (a hell of a voice performance by Gad) and Kristof. Check it out.
