If James Cameron is one of the most exhaustive filmmakers of all time, then the May 19 Blu-ray release of his Terminator 2: Judgment Day is a perfect fit. This 6-disc monstrosity is as overwhelming as a Skynet attack — in fact, it’s called the “Skynet Edition.” Heh.
Why May 19? Because that’s the same week as the premiere for Terminator Salvation (T4).
Check out the details on this newly released T2 trailer for the Blu-ray package.
Terminator 2 Skynet Edition is about as complete as a set gets. Three versions of the film, every possible bonus extra or feature that’s ever been released on DVD, and a T-800 Endoskull that lights up and plays sound effects from the movie. You damn well better be a serious Terminator fan if you’re gonna sink your brain into this one.
We hope to have a giveaway available for Terminator 2 Skynet Edition, so stay tuned.
Have a Terminator story you wanna share?… I saw the original Terminator in a film design course in college, where we learned about James Cameron’s impressively economical filmmaking (um, that didn’t last). Then some four years later (1991), I stood in a terribly long line to see the first public screening in Boston for Terminator 2. It didn’t disappoint — and the movie still holds up pretty well.
