Trailer Tuesday: EAGLE EYE

If you haven’t had your fill of Shia LaBeouf after Indiana Jones, Transformers and Disturbia, you’ll get to watch him on the big screen again September 26th in the Spielberg brainchild, Eagle Eye.

This is Spielberg’s first story credit since The Goonies, with the writer-director job going to D.J. Caruso, who also directed LaBeouf in the sharp, quick-paced Disturbia.

In Eagle Eye, LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan (Gone Baby Gone, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) are framed as terrorists and drawn into an assassination plot. I’ve heard whisperings of Enemy of the State-type similarities, but I don’t mind. Especially with a cast like Billy Bob Thornton, Rosario Dawson (this is the reason she passed on Kevin Smith’s Zack and Miri Make a Porno), Michael Chiklis (The Shield) and Ethan Embry (… I really enjoyed him in Empire Records).
