Finally… let the marketing for the new X-Files movie begin. Yesterday, the trailer for the sequel X-Files: I Want To Believe was released, giving us our first glimpse into what Chris Carter still has to tell us about aliens and the world of Mulder and Scully (David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will, of course, be resuming those roles).

Honestly, I think the Polish poster was more exciting than the trailer. The trailer just doesn’t give us any new information. Perhaps that’s the reasoning behind that poster never making its way to America. Hmmm…..
Realistically, I’m going whether the trailers lure me or not — I’ve invested nine years into the X-Files (okay, actually I watched nine seasons over two years, but still, you get what I mean). Will the trailer grab the attention of those that barely watched a single episode? Justin mentions it’s a possibility with better promotion. I’m also thinking a definition of the term “X-Files” in some trailer somewhere couldn’t hurt.
Release Date: July 25, 2008
